Athletics: ARC Renovations and Saints Alive!

Our athletic programs are popular, critical to student growth and help Siena broadcast its message on a national stage.

ARC Renovations

Over the past 10 years, Siena has increased its athletic scholarships and augmented its coaching staffs, but lacked the resources for a major renovation and expansion of our indoor athletic facilities. Our facilities now lag behind those of our peer institutions, let alone the colleges and universities whose national reputations for academic excellence and athletic success we seek to rival.

Siena has committed to renovating the Alumni Recreation Center, which will add much-needed space for varsity student athletes, the men’s and women’s basketball programs, coaches and administrators, general students, academic support, sports medicine and strength and conditioning.

  • Renovated ARC with 2,000 seats including chair back premium seats, retractable seating and new video scoreboard
  • New 8,360 sq. ft. basketball practice court
  • New men’s and women’s basketball team rooms, locker rooms and video room
  • New academic support, sports medicine and strength and conditioning spaces
  • New varsity locker rooms and coaches offices
  • Enhanced fitness areas for general students

Saints Alive!

Saints Alive! is Siena College Athletics’ annual giving program. More than 400 friends and alumni have joined together to help Siena meet the growing challenges of competing in Division I intercollegiate athletics. The Saints Alive! mission is to provide the best possible environment for our student athletes to succeed, while maintaining the high standard of athletic and academic excellence associated with Siena College.

By pledging your support to Saints Alive!, you are providing an opportunity to Siena’s student athletes in the classroom, on the fields and in life. With this continued annual support, many new endeavors have been completed.
